The Jerrahi Order of America is working with “Defense for Children International/ Connect Children Now” to supply food to Syrian refugees in Lebanese camps.

On June 11, representatives of the aid organization went to three camps: Kwashra, Kousier and Zahraman, to distribute 1860 food packets, which each contained:

• 2kg of dry beans or chick peas or fava beans
• 2lt of Oil
• 1 kg of Tomato Paste
• 3 kg Rice or Bulgur (cracked wheat)
• 3 kg Flour
• 2 kg Sugar
• Powdered milk for babies

We learned that the UNHCR has reduced its food services to these camps by 40%. One elderly woman said, “ I have been borrowing sugar lately from the next neighbourhood, God has sent you to us".
