NECDO in Afghanistan - March 2020
JOA donated $35,000 to Noor Educational Capacity Development Organization in Kabul to distribute 450 food packages to the neediest families in the month of Ramadan. The packages contained staple foods such as rice, oil, flour and beans.
Kharga Mobarak Mosque in Afghanistan - March 2020
JOA donated $37,000 to purchase and distribute 600 food packages for needy families in Herad, Afghanistan.
Connect Children Now in Lebanon - March 2020
JOA sent a total of $25,000 from Zakat to Connect Children Now in Lebanon for food packages for Syrian refugees. The packages contained staple foods such as rice, oil, flour and beans to feed families in the month of Ramadan.

CFTA in Gaza - March 2020
JOA sent a total of $40,500 to distribute 965 food packages for Ramadan and immediate needs of sick people.

JOA sent an additional $24,000 to Connect Children Now in Lebanon for food packages to feed Syrian refugees in the month of Ramadan. The packages contained staple foods such as rice, oil, flour and beans to feed families in the month of Ramadan. 1200 families are targeted with this project.

JOA sent an additional $10,000 towards the urgent needs of poor families in Gaza.
Bosnia Relief Project - May 2020
JOA sent $1500 to distribute food parcels to needy families in the month of Ramadan.
ADHA Food Distribution - July 2020
JOA sent $20,000 for ‘Id-Al-Adha for gifts, food and back-to-school supplies for children.
Financial Assistance - Visoko, Bosnia August 2020
JOA distributed zakat to 48 families in need through the Center for Social Work in Visoko, Bosnia.

Zakat Program in Ghana - September 2020
On September 24th, 2020, the Jerrahi Order began a zakat program in a new location: Ghana. With $15,000, our contact there was able to distribute food packages, which included basics such as rice, beans and oil, to 500 needy families.

Izmir Food Distribution - November 2020
In Izmir, Turkey, the Jerrahi Order has distributed bread and eggs to 850 refugee families. Generally, because of Covid, food distribution is not allowed in the camps, but we are able to provide individually wrapped items. The plan is to continue this distribution through the winter.

Local Relief Projects - November 2020
The Jerrahi Order has given 100 Food Fair gift cards of $25 each to 50 families from our neighboring Chestnut Ridge Middle School for Thanksgiving groceries.
Also, we are funding the food pantry of the Muslim Women's Institute for Research and Development in the Bronx with $1,500 per month through the winter.
Additionally, we have purchased and delivered over 1500 lbs of groceries, including produce, turkeys and stuffing, to the Rockland County People to People Food Pantry in Nanuet. It is our intention to continue assisting local food pantries through the winter.
Local Relief Projects - December 2020
The Jerrahi Order has donated $3,000 to Rockland County Helping Hands (organization for homeless relief), and funds to a local family in need as well.
Also, the JOA donated $1,500 in December to the Muslim Women's Institute for Research and Development in the Bronx for their food pantry. They were able to distribute food to over 200 individuals, representing over 800 family members.
Additionally, in December, the JOA/Youth for Humanity has purchased and delivered over $2,500 worth of groceries to the Martin Luther King Community Center in Spring Valley and over $1,500 worth of groceries to the People to People Food Pantry in Nanuet.
Syrian Refugees in Turkey - December 2020
The Jerrahi Order sent $12,500 to provide food packages for 1,000 Syrian refugee families in Izmir, Turkey. Each package contains such staples as rice, lentils, salt, sugar and oil. Distribution was carried out in early January.
